I got a 2T-GEU in my TA23, it should(someone correct me if I'm wrong) be legal to blueslip it, same capacity 1.6L, just ensure when you register it that you tell the RTA that the engine numbers are different, I'd ask Joe(Pumpkin) what he had to do to get his car rego'd. Below are the specs for the 2TG I got and more can be found at.
http://members.iinet.net.au/~jar1/2tg-info.html
Head #: 11111-88261
Head: "Yamaha", steel inspection cover, "GEX-1", "GEX-2"

Pistons: 8.3:1, 8.4:1 (88261)

Is that rule still current? Seems a bit redundant since leaded fuel hasn't been available for ages!
