@STOLEN-1969 Toyota Corolla ke10 2 door - NewZealand. Info WANTED@ Sun, 23 November 2003 04:27 Go to next message
ke10 STOLEN - info wanted.....

My 1969 ke10 corolla 2door (very rare) was stolen end of November 2001 in Tauranga. Mad I know it was a couple years ago but Ive recently had more info on its whereabouts. The guy who stole it - Carl Hall, the guy he sold it to - Robert Bennett. I have new info that Robert Bennett still has the car. The are both known around the following area's Tauranga, Rotorua & Katikati.
My car he has is VERY easily identifiable as its very rear(ke10 2door) no one in that area has one but this guy. Number Plate GA1717 (black plates) Chassis Number: KE10412481. Its in rough condition. When I last had it, it was a cream colour. It had grey primer patches on the passenger side & primered bonnet, the passenger side was a bit banged up. It had polished Tridon Mags with no center caps & a black wildcat racing steering wheel, Honda front seats. I have heard that the guards have now been flared & there may be plans to rotorize it. This guy is obviously very dumb as the car is very recognizable & allot of people know it was owned by me as I had owned it for a good few years-since 1997! & know its stolen,but you get that.
Yes, Ive been through all the crap with the police,but as usual no luck so with my new found info & hope, any info about Robert Bennett & his whereabouts or anyone who knows of my car, info please!!!
I realize this is an Aussie site etc but I'm sure there has to be quite a few kiwi members like myself! So any kiwis out there with any info, post a thread Smile
PS. This photo is an old photo of when I first had the car, its in very rough condition now.

can you get some kind of financial judgement against him - e.g. an unpaid bill-of-sale etc, that you could get a collection agency on them ... or anything that can be used to ruin their credit record.

not being able use a credit card/get a loan/fly overseas/etc may help flush the dudes out?

if the car don't turn up at least you get the satisfaction of making life mostly unpleasant....

How did you find out all this info? If the people that told you he has it saw the car why didn't they keep an eye on him or be able to find him again? Good luck man... I still don't know where my first car went (stolen from outside uni, 2001) Sad

I wish it was that simple, the guy Robert Bennett, i know him etc, But have no idea where the guy lives, hes known to move about allot, not the type of guy to hold a steady job etc& hangs with dodgy mates etc, into rotors etc& have little funds, dodgy critters, thieves also. Carl Hall stole it, sold it to Robert, Robert bought it knowing it was my car(he knows me) & knowing it was stolen. I need to track the car or him down & I will,one way or another, I have this thread posted on 5 websites, the others are NZ sites. Someone out there knows something. Thing is, Its already been through the police sagger & the guys got off it, saying they no longer had the car & couldn't get it back, the judge threw it out of court & the guys laughed in my face & still have my car. Life's a bitch ain't it.

No leads yet, have had a couple different replies, a roughly painted cream ke10 with modgies & aftermarket exhaust tip was spotted in Rotorua about a month ago, & a matt black one with modgies has been seen a couple times in Hamilton.Could well be the same car, But people are looking out now that this is posted in various forums. Thanks for your interest. Im gona try to track down some photos of these guys & maybe put them on the net also.
