All i want to know is how far can you push a 4agze/4agte power wise?
Who's pushed one of these engines to their limit and how much did you get?

can anyone chime in here with the speed record for a 1.6 turbo car here? they were cranking out well over 500bhp

Gimme a couple more weeks and I should have a twisted mass of metal that answers that question...  (I reckon I know the answer, but I'm saying nothing until I've satisfied my own curiosity through experimentation!)

The stock power of my engine is 145hp. Stock psi is between 8-10.
I have the early model engine.
The newer engines have 165hp.

there was a green TA(?) series celica not long back with a 4AGTE that pumped out 175RWkW. that's pretty good for 'only' 17psi of boost too.

most were running aftermarket computer
with a big turbo
gt30 high flow ct26 etc...
nothing that special really

Some friends made 400hp at the front wheels out of theirs - and it was bodg-y!
Another friend, who helped tinker with it, is aiming for 500kW flywheel (engine) from a turbo 7A/20v by doing it properly.
