Barstards who sell parts from underneath you!

A big thumbs down.
How many times must it happen!!!!!!!!
You find some really important parts for your buildup that you've been searching for. They are cheap and exactly what you need for the path ahead!
You dont have the cash right now so you tell the guy explicitly "DONT SELL THEM FROM UNDER ME, ILL BE BACK". He says for sure, i wont sell them mate, they'll be right here.
You return and find out some prick has bought them from under you! Something you explicitly remember telling the guy not to do.
So if your the guy who has just bought a 7MGTE in the Pennant Hills(Sydney)area I hope you are even able to realise this is about you tool! This plaster cast may come into some unintended use!
Goddamnit!!!!!!!!!!!I'm sure this has happened to so many others.

Of course I don't know the whole story in this situation but you can't always blame the guy who bought the car, maybe he was unaware what is going on? It's the guy who sells the car out from under you where your anger should be directed at.
BTW I never go to look at something to buy without some cash for a deposit and a pen/paper to write out a receipt... still not fullproof tho, if the guy sells it and gives your deposit back, what can you do besides beating him up and ending up in trouble yourself? I'm not sure what legal action you could take in that situation, or whether it will end up being worthwhile or not...
But I can understand your anger.. hasnt happened to me yet, but I'd be pretty upset if it did..

Just releasing some anger. Yes i'm more angry at the people who sell the parts on you.
Recently they haven't been wreckers, they are people you know. Which makes it worse, you wouldn't think a deposit would be needed.

Ahhhh yes Celicar Spares guy. I GAVE him a MA61 that was hit at the front plus numerous parts I didnt want to chuck and no one would buy. I went there to purchase seats. He wouldnt take them out of the car till monday. I said i'll leave deposit. He said not neccessary . He sold them!!! BASTARDO
To make things worse. I has original ra23 wheels and tyres on the ma61 and I said keep them when you chuck the shell. He scrapped them. Thankyou for letting me steam. You have saved me lots of Quak fees that I can use to buy car parts + cinnamon donuts.

Well i had told allan i needed the intake and exhust manifolds, the cam gears and i actually wanted the block to get some forged pistons for and then take my head and turbo off and bolt it to the strengthened bottom end. Then i was going to get rid off my 7mgte block etc.
I would have been around earlier but i have been in hospital all week and haven't been able to get out of the house till today which i was going to pick it all up with Ray.

ok
well, what do you want to do? you pretty much want everything i bought.
the head itself is fucked. i was going to keep the valves and springs, and take the water outlet off the back.
you can have the cams, cam gears, and rocker covers. the actual head is good for scrap.
the ex manifold: why in gods name do you want that? thought you had a nice custom one? i would prefer to keep it. but if you really want it...
unfortuantely, the block and intake manifold has already been taken off me by another mate. sorry.
ANYWAY:
for the record...
i responded to allans ad on a forum posting that he had a 7mgte available for free. he emailed me and listed a bunch of other parts he had available. he also mentioned that i could take the ex mani specifically as 'some guy' never bothered to pick it up. i went there on thurs, picked up the block and head, he said the mani was available to buy, and went on to also give me all the other stuff as he was happy to simply get rid of it.
the ex manifold was the only thing he indicated to me that had been 'said for' in the past, but he indicated that it was 'back on the market' following the purchaser not following through. thats an issue b/w you and him as far as im concerned.
i dont know what the communication was like b/w you too, but i had no idea that any of the stuff was off limits at the time of purchase.
and if ray knew about all of this...why didnt he mention it to us when we went by his house on thurs night ffs?? we told him where we were going, what we were doing, and saw the bloody hoist in the boot!
ah well.
let me know if you want those bits.
cheers ed

If i didn't get 32 external and 18 internal stitches in emergency micro-surgery the parts would have already been gone before you even thought about them.
I just spoke to Ray. He isn't a very happy chappy. He said "if he knew you were going to pick up the same 7m as the one we had already spoken for when you were at his place on thursday night, you wouldn't have even left the street". He had parts that were spoken for through me.
As you can see I'm not the only one who is unhappy and parts short.
I have a friend who is starting up the extrude hone & linishing business. That's why i need the intake, exhuast manifolds. I can't afford any down time. As soon as i get them modded i can give you my ones immediately. I am getting the cam gears slotted.
I dont want anything else now. The block was for a long term build up with forgies.
All you would be down is the cam gears which i dont think is too unreasonable.

as much as that must suck, what happens happens and i don't think it is ever approprate to suggest hurting someone. Just a small thing that bugs me... like when someone's car gets bumped, and everyone replys... "hard luck mate, how about we break his head with a cricket stump.... " .... somethings in life just have to be moved on from. There will be more 7m's around... hehe.. i can bet on that. Just trying to keep the peace here at toymods
Thanks guys.

mate,
you can have those bits for sure. i dont have the inlet manifold/runners anymore as they have gone to a mate already. However, i can give you a spare intake and stuff off a spare engine I have, as long as i get the equiv bits back in the long run.
same goes for the ex manifold.
you can have the cam gears no strings attached.
whats the story with this extrude honing??...
i have a inlet manifold/runners here i want to get done. what are the chances of your mate being able to do it???
drop me a line @ : serotonergic@hotmail.comand we'll sort out how to get you those bits.
and anyway.... listen, i never would have gone and pick up all that stuff if knew it was sold. the issue should between you and the guy who happily sold it, not me. im sorry if both you and ray got short changed, yeah. but how the hell was i sposed to ever know that all that stuff was already sold to you guys??
just be thankful that you at least know who bought it, and we've been able to figure something out. and next time, why dont you just use email if you know it was me??!
cheers ed

Great, it's all working out.
I didn't realise it was you who got the parts until you replied to the above post. I had no idea- copious quantities of panadeine forte and it could have been any of the 3 mill ppl in syd.
Great it turns out my post wasn't a waste of space.
I'll email you soon.
