Hey guys probably been asked a hundred times but im interested in upgrading my standard ct26 turbo to the larger ballbearing viariety off the st205 the ct20b, and am wondering if anyone knows if it bolts straight on? im assuming no but could u tell me what else is involved? cheers

For starters the ST205 turbo is actually smaller and not a ball bearing turbo.

Now to your question yes a CT20b will bolt into the place a CT26 once was however there is a difference on the exhaust outlet, one has 6 bolts the other has 7. I think the CT20b has 6 but I'm not going to comit to that one.

Josh is on the money. The CT20B has the 7 bolts though, you just end up leaving one blank, no probs doesn't leak.

What you do have to be careful about is which gasket you use for the dump pipe. Check it for wastegate clearance before you bolt it all up solid ie disconnevt the actuator arm and make sure the wastegate will fully swing open.

The CT20B according to every Turbo shop I have spoken to has a larger compressor then the CT26!
