I have a TD05 turbo off my wrx sitting at home. Im thinking of using it on my 4agte conversion.
Boost came on at about 3 grand on my ej20 .... with a 1.6L would anyone have any idea what rpm boost would start coming on at?
I know this turbo is able to run 20psi fairly easily and show some good numbers. Does this turbo sound like an alright match for my 4agte conversion or should I go something that would come on boost a little earlier. What turbos are some of you guys running and numbers you are pulling
I dont know a hell of a lot about it, but i'd say its a little bit too big, boost around 4,500/5000rpm on 4age, and most of the funs over by 5000rpm ;p
Hmm thats what I was thinking ..... i might rebuild it and get a smaller exhaust housing since its in bits at the moment. I cant be bothered to rebuild it .... I will play with a few ideas and see what I come up with. I should get some good numbers once the new head goes on.
