have a tarago van with a 2 y and auto in it here looking at what u guys can give me ideas to fit into it to replace motor and gear box keep auto though ( work van )
need heaps of grunt with lots of plumbers tools in back thinking of a 253 holden ... t 700 auto or a toyota motor that will do the job non turbo as have to cart the tool u know and also run on lpg

I know they fit in a hilux bay to replace the 3Y, but not sure of a tarago.
I know someone who put a commmodore V6 into on too
well working on a hilux basis and with a gas axe wellllll anything will fit wont it lol
thing is wil have 3.5 rover motor here spare soon and even thinking about that thing that turns me off thet is gearbox probs and $$$ for a zf to suit
thanks for that talked to rod there already about it he told me with it that will also have to add to it gear box speed sensor to suit t700 at $500 + plus mapping to suit
also been told to lock out the cluch on t700 aswell to make it work with this small motor
Having seen the engine bay of a Tarago (my parents had one) I reckon you'd struggle to fit anything much bigger than a 3Y. Sure with enough time and effort you can fit just about anything, but it sure won't be easy!
