Well i just bought a 1970 valiant coupe. its orange, and looks sweet as, the best cruiser. ( i can hear cursing in the background). Will toyota fans hate me now, or will i still have some love left.

Warning - Dont try to take it at the lights - its a very powerful falcon..

heh - ive been close to there ( xygt )
had a 351 fairlane - absolute torque weapon - awesome noise - and launch - but steered like a boat ..
the friends XB is quick for a streeter - same againa - awesome in a straight line ( it would flog the gt4 easily ) but the whole " theres a corner i need to brake now ) lets it down ..
his cousin owns an 11 second XW 351 - same again - Straight line - HOLY shit hang onto your pants - corner - nope ! i dont do that !
compared to a gt4 - they are faster - but add corners to the equation - and the old GT falcon ( or equivelents ) would have real issues keeping up ..
though if anyone wanted to offer me the car for free - id say THANKS!
I still cant wait to see what the GT4 is like with comparitive power to the 351's i have owned and driven - and still be able to turn in

Hey Classique71, Your celica looks real nice in the larger pic, compared to your small avatar where you cant see anything. So you were a v8 man or you still are. How does a v8 compare to rotary fuel wise?.
My mate has a eb falcon with a 1995 mustang 5.0l US imported, then he put in bigger cams, roller rocker/lifters etc etc and he built and resprayed that car from the shell, at the age of 18  , hes blown many gearboxes and diffs, and that car handled very well, it is a capable drifter, he rarely takes a corner normally.

I still am a v8 man - but i also realise that turbo's and jap carsare much more fun for much less dollar outlay
most v8's handle like shit compared to what i have
comparing the two is hard - the fairlane was on straight gas - so it was cheaper dollar wise to run on fuel then my ta22 on the same trip from here to melbourne and back.
( plus i dont have a rotar - im pistons all the way - none of this brap brap shit )
My Gt4 is probably better than both ta22 or v8 for dollar comparison - On highway cycle im getting 600 KM + out of a 68 litre tank , and 500 + in play mode on high boost .
the ta22 would get approx 440 km from a 40 litre tank , but would chew thru the juice when let loose .
The fairlane was only ever a cruiser - it didnt get unleashed much - mainly because it handled like shit - and you dont trust a 250 ATW + kw motor when the brakes are spongy and handlings softer than a bed of feathers

Well perhaps it would plz people to find out i didnt get the valiant, last mintue finances fell through. That being my brother was gonna lend me the money, then turns around and buys the car himself but now i have incentive to work my ta22, and whip his ass off the line.
