1g wiring variations

This is in a sprinter, if it currently has a 1g from a mz20 can this be changed with any other 1g and the wiring/computer still be fine and bolt straight up?

From what I remember, the Gen 1 and Gen 2 wiring may be the same.
Gen 3 is definately different.

Inside the engine they are supposedly pretty much the same. Some of the sensors are different though so if you did get a different version of the engine, you may have to change the over or just swap over the entire manifold set up.
The sump position may be different too, so you might have to change over the sump and oil pick up.

the 1gs look similar but as anthony says some sensors are different

yea I did mean gz20 
thanx for that, looks like ill have to look for the same one then. Any idea where to get a gz20 1g, are they common?
what gen are the gz20's?
I see sss has 1g's for $750 so im sure you can get them cheaper than that
