valve stem seals on the way out when....

im assuming oil is getting into the CC after the car is turned off via the seals because on startup there is a puff of smoke but there is NO smoke when driving
does this sound right to anyone?

Leave the car idling for about 5 mins, then rev it
Smoke?

depending on smoke levels, if heaps,then guides may be rooted too
