Hi,
My AE82 twincam is coming up pretty badly now in areas with spot rust.
Some places are: Near fuel filler, under doors where water drain holes are, channels on the roof where water runs off etc.
Whats the best method to stop/prevent this, im not really up for a respray at the moment!

Bodgy method: bog, sand and spray with touch-up paint. Expect it to last 6 months tops.
Proper method: take it to a panel shop and pay them lots and lots of money.
Yes, rust sucks.

once it starts is spreads fast
if you wanna keep the car for a long peoriod of time... fix it now
otherwise just drive it into the ground
as norbie said, rust sucks

Ok, pricing on a complete bare metal respray ? About $3k ? Its just a bit too much for me. At the moment its only surface rust, can I just use rust killer or something ?

Just looking now it looks like its inside the doors a little bit...even a full metal respray wont fix that right ?
