4A GE and GZE Speedo Specs

Alright from another thread we have:
"difference between the tacho's are the way the electronic signal is pulsed. In normal 4a the tacho wire is pulsed at 12V, and from the GZE its a low level signal of 5V (or the other way around)."
But i still have a few questions:
1. Is the output square wave, or similar?
2. How many pulses per wheel revolution (i remeber reading 4 or something).
3. And is it definately GZE 5v and xE 12v. Or is it the other way around.
Cheers

Yes I should have provided a little more info. I have edited the original post to provide the engine and dash specifics.

I see that you are getting the signal from the igniter. Which igniter wire are you using. I assume then you are not using the ECU tacho output for the signal.
