Since you have a T series diff, all you need is the LSD hemisphere as often advertised for AE86 Jap sprinters. I think Kristian (SupraMan) has posted them on here for as low as $600 in good condition. Most people will try and rip you off upwards of $900 though, thanks to the AE86 "drift" craze.

Or you can do like I did and fit a Mark 2 Corona F series diff, they are only 5mm wider in total than the T18 diff, just swap all the mounts over. Axles are much bigger... Very Happy

If you do go the corona way, you will need to cut all of the trailing arm/panhard rod mounts off your T18 diff, and transplant them onto the corona diff... Any diff shop can do this for you, but its certainly not as cheap or easy as just bolting an LSD centre into your current diff.

I might add that Corona MkII's don't come with an LSD from the factory, so you still need to source an F series LSD from somewhere (eg MA61 Supra).

Pardon my ignorance, but could I assume that this LSD hemisphere will suit a 2T TA22 rear end too?

Yep, just make sure you get an LSD with the correct axle size. I belive there are differences between TRD/KAAZ etc.

Sprinterboy: Are you asking about the F series diff? If so, yes, it would apply to the AE86, but it will be approx 30mm wider in total than your original diff, so you would need different offset wheels.

The F series diff is 7.5" crown wheel, and has 27 spline 28mm axles. I dont believe they are any weaker than an R31 diff, but they are not as easy to find LSD centres for, unlike the R31 (being a common Borg Warner)
