IRA11Y 4AGE Euthanised! Sat, 27 July 2002 16:20 Go to next message
Thats right people, stand back and witness the enormous power of the mighty 4K, made even scarier with the full perfomance auto version gearbox, this car has to be seen to be believed, rivaled only by Fiat 500's in the 0-100Kmh in under 30Mins class. Fortunately this engine will be decomissioned in favour of the less powerfull A series engine in the near future so as to avoid a fatality due to its unbeliveable performance (primarily me smacking my head against the dash as I attempt the go faster upper body sway as I take off at the traffic lights!) hehehe

Trust me this is its best side Grin

EDIT: I have finally made all the pics nice and small you will find them at the bottom of the page now Smile

Just a late model 4AGE with some mild work, a bit of porting and changes to the compression from the last engine, and maybe some other modifications if money allows.

And now with added spoiler

The build is going very slow, actually I touched the engine for the first time in a couple of months the other day and put the bottom end together, still have to put the sump etc back on once I make a few adaptations to it, head is now finished and ready to go, the original plan was to have it all in and run in for dyno day but I doubt it will be now.

Very nice! That interests me the rear suspension.. I usually see the shock being changed to coil over shock style which means then you need to re-inforce suspension mounting points etc. Though the way you've done it shouldn't have those problems. Is that a kit?

its noltecs coil over kit, this setup is how they run the IP class to keep it within the regs of the class, encapsulated coil and shock is not a standard adaptation to the factory setting where as this "being very broad" is
