stu, easy, go to an exhaust shop - get a piece of 2" pipe and get them to "expand" one end of it for you - they put an oversized fitting in one end normally and it "flares" or "opens up" the section larger. done using hydraulics - is very good.
otherwise you can get that silicone tubing stuff - i know they make bits that go from the turbo outlet side to like larger OD intercooler pipe (meridian motorsport have them) - maybe give em a call?
hope this helps.

Custom will probably be the cheapest option!!! Mabey a 70mm throttle body from a XF would be the go? You should have a litte bit of room to play with...
Btw what did all of the NEW grp a parts end up costing?

changing throttle bodies is a big job
especially on the 3sgte where the intercooler piping comes right up to the throttle body
u might start the throttle body conversion then find out its more of a job than u thought
like necros said just goto toyota and get a new one
this is an expensive job goin from non water intercooler to water intercooler
would have been cheaper to get a front mount made
then u could have sold yr original intercooler

Actually i priced a front mount - it was more expensive to buy then the bonnet and water to air intercooler setup combined !
It shouldnt work out too expensive to do as long as all the mounting brackets are with the intercooler setup .. It has all the hardware + piping intact as far as ive been told , so in thory it should bolt up without any need for modification, except to the throttle body
necros - $659 bucks approx included:
brand new bumper ( 280 new )
mounting bar ( 100 second hand )
large mesh insert ( 169 new )
2 side inserts ( 90 new )
Water spray kit off a group A for heat exchanger ( 20 second hand )
T0 paint it and the rear bumper will cost about $400 ish , though im waiting now to put it on until my group a Bonnet arrives - getting it all sprayed at once
Not just the bumper.
Re throttle body - id prefer one that goes straight on - so ill be looking into either a custom made adaptor , or a genuine grp A item.
If ive gone this far to make it like a group a - I might as well get a group a throttle body.
When its all said and done im going to have a car thats better than a stock Group A anyway mechanically - so thats not too bad IMHO
heh - mind you - 6 months ago i hadnt planned to go the full panel conversion or the water to air intercooler setup. Its amazing how logic goes out the window when your offered good parts for good prices

A few other things for ya list ;p
Grp A Shifter (there a lot shorter, or a TRD short shift kit would be even better)
Grp A Clutch pedal setup (not sure what parts are different but the pedal has a shorter stroke)
Grp A Altenator (80A I think)
Grp A Rear bumper reinforcement (Lighter)
Grp A Cam Belt Snorkel (Takes air from that hole next to the vent in the bonnet)
Grp A Rear Torsen LSD (Im 99% sure the std 185's dont have LSD, plus I know some one who has one for sale)
Grp A ECU (Justen might sell it seperate, but aftermarket is a better idea anyways)
Im pretty sure there is a few more small things, I have a press release document stating all the difference at home if you want it?
Btw did you get a 185 or 205 WTA I/C?

Sounds like youve got all bases covered dude! Good stuff...
I think you guys are right about the LSD, redbook is saying youve got the LSD too ;p
With the cam belt cover, its the rear part that has a hole in it between the oil filler and the other chunk of metal on the opposite side of the head. If you dont have the hold it wont be hard to change it ;p
Id love to see how the AE86 compares to the GT4 in the twisties, and good places to cruise around colac? I know some good ones in geelong ;p Ive even got a dirt road hairpin 2 min from home! So if u ever wana cruise lemme know!

chuckles - angle grinder and dremel job i think
re twisties - im still elarning how to really get the gt4 dancing but i can assure you its bloody good thru the bends - with the new suspension in it .. the lower stiffer ride makes one hell of a difference on the way it feels over sligtly rough country bends ( and the ocena road )
grip is awesome - so far ive driven it quite fast - but it felt like it could handle a lot more pushing , though ill wait till i get it on the track to really cut silly ..
Dirt wise its direct - as youd know from having yours - but i try to keep it calm on the unsealed stuff - - admittedly im not the best dirt driver - nor want to be - i much prefer black stuff inder the tyres
re sprinter vs gt4 - i still think the gt4 would be better - unless the sprinter had a power upgrade + suspension brakes upgrade .. then id say both would be pretty much paralel except for mid corner speed where the 4wd helps
