Very Nice

We miss out on most of the good Toyotas here in Australia. We get shafted with cars like the Avalon. How does the power compare to something like the Lagacy GT?

Mate you cant even compare this thing to a legacy GTB - let alone a legacy GT. Remember this is an upgraded version of the ST205 engine (and yes it is quicker than an ST205)!!!

Toyota quote a factory 1/4 mile of 13.8

Sorry guys. You can't bring this one to Oz.
Previous to the import rules changing in May, the ST21x (and later) Caldinas were on the ineligible list.
But since the rules changed in May, I've noticed that the Caldina has now disappeared off the ineligible list.
It's not on the eligible list either, which means that no one has tried to bring one of these here yet.

Anyone know of any importers willing to try? If so, I'm first in line. It meets the power/weight ratio determined by the DOTARS.

This is the model Caldina I wanted, instead I had to settle for the one before, which only had as it's best engine the 3S-GE.

Mine's a turbo diesel fwd 5sp.
When I bought it though, the guy another turbo diesel auto, & a 4wd petrol manual.
