i've been having trouble getting my engine to rev past 6. a week ago, it went to 7-8000 easily. then it started cutting out at 7000, and today it did it at 6000rpm. any ideas? it should be getting enough fuel as it is running a 220L pump from a surge tank.

Do a diagnosis check at see what that reveales, double check the tps and timing. Might as well reset the computer to detil and fault codes.
See how you go.

Does it cut on full load? if it does then i doubt it will be the O2 sensor as the computer ignores it under full load..
Cheers

could be.. but i removed the o2 sensor a few weeks back (i was told that i didnt need it).
i revved it past 7000rpm today without any hassles, it's just a temperamental problem.
could it have anything to do with the throttle sensor? unlikely.. but theres a loose screw in there somewhere.
