Moulding rear badges for 71 celicas

Heys guys - within the next month ill have collected all styles of 71- 72 rear badges - ie the LT fivespeeds one - the ST one and the GT one
What i need to know - is how can i make a mould of each badge so if any of us need to make a cast of it again to replace one - or if anyone wants to put the original syle GT or ST bage on theirs - we can make our own instead of trying to find these ultra rare badges ..
can anyone suggest a way of making a mould either for plastic casts - or metal ??
OR suggest a place where i can take them to make a mould ??
Im in brisbane so a local contact would be nice - Ill be keeping the moulds for any reproduction purposes

I think it would be easiest to make a plaster mould! And then make then the badge using some king of 2part epoxy that sets really hard!
Do you have any of the side badges? Like the nice celica ones?

i ahve one - of the original scroll style on myc ar atm - the others the wrong badge - doesnt match..
and hmms to plaster
I was thinking latex - or fiberglass but have NFI on either .. they have to be perfect moulds - so they can be painted/chromed lik the originals

I dont think fibreglass would work! The badges are just too small to work the glass into the small groves! Just using the resin to make the mould would work! But this is the same idea as the plaster!

hows 10 bux sound - ? * smiles * only really need one .. and ill probably debadge mine when it gets sprayed as well
re badges nod against fiberglass - it needs to be something that will take a near perfect mould , hence latex , plaster or similar - but i also cant damage the original badges

That chrome strip on the bonnet is a bad thing too! I pulled the strip off my bonnet yesterday, there was lots of rust! I ended up taking that lip back to bare metal and painting it with rust converter to prevent anymore!

Your right i was only stirring aswell. I took it all off incl the chrome strips below the doors, the mirrors, the aerial, side indicators etc.
They look heaps neater with it all removed

i've seen a celica with a good aerial setup, it was an electric aerial mounted on the flat part of the bodywork next to the boot, looked good

I think the idea is not to have any crappy looking things on the outside of the car at all!

what are you going to make the badges out of? plastic? if its metal, then i dont know if plaster is going to hold up when casting it ... or can one get something with a higher cement content or something ?
