I am just wondering if any one has any recomendations for a aftermarket computer for a 1G-gte,it has a T4 hybrid on it,and the water to air cooler on top, its getting put into a MA61. I need an entry level computer, not big dollars like motec or haltech. Not after one that has boost controls just one that can get good power and will be reliable. i do want a hand controler so I can get good fuel economy. Also any one in melb that can do the wiring up for me. Thanks Clinton.

slightly OT but ...
i just stumbled over this on <www.lextreme.com>:
SparkDog: <http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~jharm/kit.htm>
i have no idea if its any good - but if you can build DIY electronics it might be value for $550. then you gotta redo a fair bit of wiring.
There's also the Megasquirt path, so you'ld have to dump the AFM to go MAP, dump the knock sensors (unless you keep the 1G computer to run spark), cold start and the aux air valve: <http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html>.

you cant beat the microtech for valve for money,
for
$1500 i can supply, install and tune a LT8 for you, plus $90 per hour dyno hire,
with the correct tuning and install the microtech's drive the same as the factory ecu and will give better fuel economy,

As I PMed to Grant the main reason i want after market comp is to stop the anoying cut out problem I had with it now and then, i thought I fixed it but it came back now and then. So I want to get somthing that will not have an air flow meter and the like.

i have a 1ggte with a microtech mtx8 and am getting less power than people with the same mods as me but running the standard comp, and yes it has been tuned by a very reputable microtech tuner, and yes this is on the same dyno on the same day.
so if you think you can tune my car with a shit load more power and better economy as you say you can, id be more than happy to pay for your tuning expertise.
so untill someone proves me wrong (as ive never seen or heard of anyone running microtech on their 1g) i cant recommend them, as ive had problems tuning mine, dont get me wrong as i know there worth their weight in gold running behind rotarys, as the magority of rotary owners are using them and the times and figires speak for themselves, as for 1gs im not convinced, and if i dont get anywhere near the power i should with my new engine setup i will be changing ecus to one i know ill get the sort of power i should be getting.
