AE101 Speedo Help Thu, 04 December 2003 06:11 Go to next message
can any of you masters please tell me, can i simply bolt a normal (non supercharged) ae92 mechanical speedo sender into my AE101 lsd gear box????? its sooo near completion and i need to get the fooker registered which means a trip over the pits. pretty noticable if the speedo is hanging out.
the reason i ask this is because it will be easier than finding an ae92 GZE sender unit. Or is it? any ideas where i could get a GZE unit from?

No u cannot justswap it. As the C-series (non-gze) speedo sender unit is different size to the E-series one.

You need to get an E-eries one. Then just swap them over. As long as they are E-series gear boxes.

I tossed out my electrical speedo sender from the ae101 box.
I put an AE92 GZE e-series mechanical speedo sender into my AE101 GZE e-series gearbox.
No probs
