bit of a stupid question but,
when i got defferent mags for my car the overrall diamter of tyres and mags was larger than the older wheels, i wants to have faster acceleration and i need some new tyres if i went down a profile would this help at all and would it be very notcible.
i have a ta22 and the currnt tyres are r14 205/60 i was going to go to r14 195/55 (reason for decrease in width is rubing on gaurds and stearing component problems.)
thanks any help would be appreciated.

whatever percentage decrease in diameter, will be the increase in acceleration. (for a given gear etc etc...)
this page is coool!!! compare your tyre sizes and tells you % difference!!!!!!!
http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html
for the sizes you mentioned the 195 will be 5.3% smaller in diameter, and so you will have 5% more acceleration. maybe not enough to feel by 'seat of the pants dyno', but it is still 5% faster!!
