XT132 Corona brakes

My mate has a XT132 Starfire Corona and hes got a twin turbo 2J in it. The other night he got pulled over by the cops and got defected cause he had no brakes, so he wants to do an upgrade. Can anyone give me any ideas on a good brake package?
He also has a ford nine inch diff but he keeps smashing centers. Is there some other stronger diff that he can upgrade to?
Thanks in advance

is he still running the stock 14" wheels?
if so, he may have to machine out the inside of the rim to acomodate the rotor and caliper assembly. this will get around any concerns he may have with regards to increasing wheel sizes outside the well known +2 rule, and thus avoid further problems with the pigs...
suggested setup?
i think the entire upright assembly out of an MA70 will swap straight into the corona as they are both based on the same floorplan (hence why the 2jz conversion is so easy in this chassis...)
that will get you 300+mm rotors which should pull it up nicely...

Thanks mate. I think he had 15's or 16's at one stage but when he accelerated hard the back used to squat down and the tyres scrubbed. So i'm pretty sure hes got the 14's back on there now.
I'll get him to call some importers around here and try and find some complete MA70 front uprights. And I thought everything would be much harder
Any ideas on a diff upgrade?

Ed, I think you are mistaken. Fool.
The legendary HR34 R32 GTR which crushed all opposition like a gnat for decades till it was banned by bogans (TEH GTR CAN NEVAH LOSE) was in fact based on the sedate XT132 station wagon. You will find that the GTR's infamous (world's most powerful engine) RB26DETT will bolt straight in so I'm not sure why your friend went for the lowly 2JGZDETT.
I hear the Dana 11" diff is a direct bolt up swap.
The HSV 427's 375 mm rotors bolt straight up to the XT132's front rotors. Check to make sure the APRacing 6 spots have the same caliper spacing.

Ok now i'm confused So if my mate gets some brakes off a HSV they will bolt directly onto the XT132 struts? This sounds like a great upgrade
Any ideas what ratios you can get for the Dana 11" diff? And when you say its a direct swap, can my mate just unbolt the 9 inch and bolt this one in?

now for BEING BACK ON TOPIC
its an xt130 if it had the missfire pig in it previously
UM, given he's already get the struts, peugeot rotors with the holes drilled out a wee bit for the rotor to slide on the hub and hilux 4 spot calipers would be the go here.
same as what the ta22/23 brake upgraders do (like me)

Wouldnt the HSV brakes be better than the Hilux combo?

Dude,
Gianttomato is riding you like a donkey - and if you did not realise his previous post was a lot of cobblers, you have a bit of a problem. The only 11 inch Dana you will bolt in the rear is Dana Scully from the X-Files.....
And breaking Ford 9 inch diff's is rubbish.
This topic needs a relocation to the joke file......
Mitch.

nah, its not your fault you got fucked by the pigs... nosey fucks! everytime someone tries to do something unique with their car, they just fuckin make it illegal... fuckin revenue raising! like if you actualy ASKED a cop why a car needs brakes, i bet he wouldnt even be able to tell you!!!
fuck that - dont worry about doing the brake upgrade (read any brake)... next time a cop tries to pull you over, just flip him the bird and fuck off! like youd be able to stop and pull over, even if you wanted to...

Man we went out cruising in this car tonight and it goes hella good. It only has a hand brake to stop and the cops keep giving us fines. They are just wankas.
