How does that work? Its a relatively slow 60 foot for a 13 flat, but terminal speed more akin with a 14 second pass?
So 12's arent far away then with a better launch?

These numbers don't add up at all! A friend of mine ran a 13.7 second pass in his auto MA71 with a trap speed of 100mph, and he did that several times. I can't see how you could run a 13.0 at 90mph in the same car, unless you were hard on the brakes just before the finish line??

I might add that he later went back with the same car after he did a manual conversion. Same ET but a slightly higher trap speed - 103mph. Your numbers still don't make any sense!

They are some wacked out numbers though.
Really, I am pleased with any success of a MkIII supra but ....
My own JZA70 5 speed, has only completed 1 pass at eastern creek as it grenaded its diff on the second pass.
Numbers for fisrt pass were 2.05 60 foot.
Trap speed - 103 mph.
ET - ready for it - 14.02
Even though it was not a great pass, too much wheelspin, missed gears (twice) nervous as hell etc, You can se why i am sceptical of your Mk3 having such a fat dash down the middle of the track.
I expect mine with a few more attempts to get down to mid/low 13's @105 mph.
How much RWKW did you make Allan?

Still its a bloody good effort for the car and driver

IS your 1/4 mile shaped like a skateboard ramp??
90mph for a flat 13 is a bit weird. Either that or your car hammers from 10mph-80mph and then the 7m just goes... "ah ok, thats enough, i can feel a hg comin on ;)"

No that MPH with that 60 foot and that finish et do not add up.
I'll put $100 on it now that those numbers are not right.
Norbie, if those numbers are right I'll give you the $100 and you can send it to Allan (the 1JZ bigot).

If that was true he would have got a better 60 ft time!
Allan: 2.5 seconds (fairly slow launch, lots of wheelspin or he bogged it down)
My friend: 2.1 seconds (pretty decent for street tyres)
This is the whole reason the numbers look suspect. If it had been an awesome 60ft time, like 1.5 seconds, then the fast ET and slow trap speed would make sense.

Don't worry, we are starting to get a bit sus on it too. Going to a credible drag strip on Friday.
When an Integra starts reeling off low 13 sec quarters, one has to be a bit sus. Funnily, there were a lot of 12 second cars there.

out of curiousity what is the best time your supras put down so far ( with the old LSD and suspension ?)
im guessing the truetrack will help power down a lot better on the strip ?

I've only done the 1/4 mile once so far, and I ran a 12.49 at 117mph with a piss-poor 2.7 second 60ft. If I can get that 60ft time down to a sensible level I'll be in the 11's, and I reckon with the new diff and suspension that's possible now. We'll see anyway.

"Im guessing allan ran it out better than your buddy norbie "
I think you'll find that I'm the 'buddy' Norbie was talking about, and that I did quite a good job of pedalling the car. I ran a 2.0 60ft with the auto and a 2.1 60ft with the manual - both of which are very impressive on el cheapo street tyres.
The numbers Allan has are all wrong.
I would suggest that you may possibly be reading the 1000ft time rather than the total ET.
Those MPH and 60ft numbers suggest to me something more like a flat 15.

Will be keen to see you run next time though

The calder run will clarify things a bit more i guess to see if the other clock was in fact out
if you guys have a camera thuogn - please take some pictures - I really want to see what jamie puts down now with his new turbo setup

Out of interest you will get the best results by stalling the car up in 1st and manually shifting.
I'd recommend an oil cooler for this... and MV Automatics in Adelaide can do some mean modifications to the valve body

yeah your car does 13's.
over what distance is that? 300m?
what mods u done to this thing?
u dont need a race track to know how quick your car is. just test it against the competion at the lights. you must get raced all the time in a car like that!!. raced any Gen3 (I only chose them because theyre as common as crap) properly - howd you fair. they pull anywhere from high 14's to low 13's depending on model (stock).
you know a auto ma71 stock would be good for 16 flat maybe high 15's but to go low 13's is a heap more power - almost double in your barge!!

anyhow it was still a cool video, i was watching it on repeat for about 10mins last night.
anymore mk3 videos floating around? i can't get enough of them.
