Sure! That'll be 700, but wait you get a free car and parts with that!
At best I'd be prepared to take out the engine & gearbox and sell it as an assembly.

It's original, but the bit where the accelerator linkage goes is slightly modified (not butchered).
I think 600 is a fair price for the engine/box, but I prefer to sell the whole car.

I really need to get rid of the whole car. Engine uses little/no oil. Goes very well....keeps EB Falcons honest. Has factory air conditioning. Oh, and the best Altec stereo produced in 1984 (4 channels 4W PMPO) and fulsic 6" 15W speakers!

The thing is I'm in Sydney and transport for the whole car is a lot more then the gearbox and engine I'm guessing.
As I have a TA22 Celica a KE55 Corlla is no good to me. So I'ld like to grab the engine and gearbox the shell could always go to a wrecker.
Just some thoughts

I am very very interested in buying the engine and box, i can't take the car aswell though i have nowhere to keep it.
I live in Canberra so transport shouldn't be too much of a problem. How much would you be willing to part with it for? Send me an email if you'd like.

Will it fit a ke16 wagon? Should do, but I need the wagon first. If I find one I will give you a call, have your number from the trading post. Hopefully I will speak to you soon Mr Tomato.

Damn it! Dinner with my girlfriends parents. Another fun filled evening. Maybe I will just pick your brain in the forums at a later date. Thanks very much for the offer tho. On a more serious note a mate of mine is looking for his fourth engine for his ma61. Have you got anything suitable lying around. I am not talking 5m if it can be avoided. Did you manage to get a manual for you 2jzge? Is that a w58? If so where did you get it, how much and which model. Thanks heaps Malkom

Can't do it tonight, in just minutes I will be leaving for a fun filled night talking about sailing and the weather. Woo Hoo. There's nothing I like more than sitting around drinking shandies with my girlfriends deaf and, I suspect, retarded father. So, you have a manual 2jzge. Very interesting. Does that mean you could use a w57 with that clutch and bellhousing for a 2jzgte? I assume that you will be using the 2jz to replace an m engine, does it fit well? They are good for around 155 kw aren't they? Should make the old Corona move a bit! I haven't seen many at importers, who did you get it from? Cheers Malkom

Allright swing by tomorrow night come and have a sticky beak. Just ring me dude!!!!
Malkolm, hopefully by the time I'm done it should have a bit more than the std 225 hp....and guess what, it won't have triple SU's!
Will run the W58 probably. I have a Dellow's bellhousing, custom flywheel, a fairly heavy duty 5M clutch (with ceramic 4 puck clutch plate) and a few other little mods to make it all happen smoothly. So yes in theory you could run a W57 behind the GTE variant, but I'm sure you would snap it like a twig!
Gimme a call anyway. Cheers Dave.
