My Celica is Hibernating

With the delivery of my company car late last week, and the decision not to sell the celica but to rebuild her for a weekend warrior I've de-commisioned the celica and pulled her off the road.
"Thousands of people lined the streets of western Sydney to witness the final drive of the Celica. After a quick fang to Wismans ferry, the crowds were dazzled by a display of circle work and the Failed attempt to write Celica in script on Windsor Road, in rubber. Upon arrival to the Garage which will be her home for the next few months during rebuild, Tears were shed as the exhaust gave it's final burble and the engine was shut down for the final time in it's current setup. The owner sat behind the drivers wheel for a few minutes reflecting on the good times before popping the hood and disconnecting the battery and removing the computer thus signalling the end of a historic chapter of the life of this amazing car." (SMH thu 4th Nov. 2003)
Plans for her rebuild will be updated in the members rides section in the near future.

I know how you feel, I'm a bit different thought. I've disconnected the battery and now dismantling the car preparing it for the wreckers.

Brings tears to my eyes.
But just look at the end of the tunnel, when you Celica will be a new creation and there will be no more mourning or crying or pain. Only pure Celica goodness.

That's one F@#king long tunnel ahead
But the day she comes out the red carpet shall be laid, champane will fall from the heavens and all will be good and right with the world.
Then I floor it

But yes... there will be that moment of pure heavenly bliss.
before I pull up next to some stock looking MkII supra with some sort of bulls@#t engine under the bonnet and I get shat all over.
then it'll be back to the garage to hide and contemplate a 1J conversion

Ah. How little you know. A Supra NEVER has a crap engine. Every single one has an engine that has been lovingly caressed by its owner, and is now the pride and joy.
You celica owners might be a little different though.......

Exactly my point. I know these cars and the *bulls@#t* amouts of power they have, and how good these engines are. My next project car will be a MkIII supra (my girlfriend wants one for a weekend car) I hope the Celica will be up there.
BTW: Weren't Supras Origonally Celicas?

Yeah I think they were. See, it's all about evolution. Some of hte celica's have evolved into the supra. Seeing the week fail and the strong survive, in about 3 million years, the supra will be the dominant car in this world.
Yeah, I love my car. So much power for a car that costs $10k.

Celicas are like the ants of the world, many in number and strong at heart, whereas the Supras are like the locusts. Big, heavy, powerful and mean. The tyranny has gone on long enough! The oppression must end!
There is more power in the Celicas than the locusts (supras) would ever know or realise
The Celica's must wake up, throw off the oppressors and SEIZE THEIR DESTINY.......

thats one mean ass ant
not decomissioning - but i had a similar teary moment when i sold my ta22 ..
So much blood sweat and tears ( brought on by blood shedding derived from hard work ) went into it from me ( which probably wasnt all that hygenic in the end ) and it was my first car , and it was the car i learned to drive in
but if you work hard enough at your hobby you do get attached - even if it is only metal and wires , on rolly rubber things ..
Lets hope its only off the road for a short time give it a new heart - and some locust legs and go out there and have fun
