Expression of interest / Order:
I can get some adapter plates made up to fit 4a (t-50) bellhousings to W5* (supra style) gearboxes.
kit will include:
- adapter plate
- spigot shaft bearing (one inside back of crank)
- adapter for spigot bearing
- 15 various bolts required.
are you willing to pay $320. Of course the more orders I get the cheaper it will be

from my knowledge any w5 box.. I have a w55 box I am putting one on and also a W57. 58 are also the same but I havent seen a 50. Im guessing because they are all w boxes they are all the same housings with different gears/in and out shafts

nope.
W50's are steel case, where as W55, W57 and W58 are alloy case. They also have a different bellhousing pattern. I'd suggest only catering for the W55, W57, W58 market.

If you read the original post carefully, it's not a cast bell housing but a machined adaptor that will allow you to bolt the original T50 bellhousing to a W55, W57 or W58.
Slabs of machined alloy don't fall apart too easily!

As there is some interest I will be making some up. Please if you DEFINITELY want one please email me or call me as I am putting a list together of orders.
At the moment I am making one only so I can install it in a test car. When this car is up and running I will be making sure they are safe and the clutch can still engage and disengage properly.
This is just an adapter plate, NOT a full casting.
The Kit includes:
-adapter plate
-spigot bearing spacer
-spigot bearing
-various bolts
I have had some growing concern with clutch plates. As you maybe aware the input shaft on the W gearboxes are larger then the t-50 gearboxes. therefore a new clutch plate will be needed with the bigger centre spline. I maybe able to add a clutch plate to the price of the kit although my problem with this is the fact that there are two or three different sized clutch plates. the GZE and the GE flywheels are different. therefore I WILL be able to send one with the adapter but you will NEED to tell me:
a. what the flywheel is out of.
b. the inside diameter of the clamping area
c. the outside diameter of the clamping area
this way I can order the right plate / clutch kit for you.

Hey dude if it works, is strong and reliable, and it comes as a complete kit start to finish i will have one definatley!!
so im guessing u cant use a normal 4A clutch.?.
Anyway i have a standard 100Kw

hey they will be strong.. the alloy plate is made of 5083 grade alloy.. and is 20mm thick..
yes you use a different clutch center. I know that if you clutch still has a bit of meat on it you can go to custom clutch places and get new splines put in... but I mayeb selling plates with the kits anyway.

Just wondering if there is any news on these adaptors. I recently suffered the crunch crunch bang bang that seems to happen all to frequently to the old T50, and am now looking for a stronger replacement.
