howdy
well i got a pretty new 100kw 4age put in my ae82, i have a aftermarket comp and now i want more boogie. I have spoken and heard many and i mean many different things about 20v heads and dif cams and dif throttle bodies and this and that. I am still undecided of where to go. Now i dont want anyone just saying PULL IT OUT AND PUT IN A GZE, cause i fucken cant!! ( touchy subject for me sorry hehe). i was wondering about the 20v head and what sort of performance could be achieved and at what cost but other idea keep poping into my head (what baout low boost fomr a small charger in it??? i dunno). Any idea from anyone on what i may do and a rough guesstimate of money it might take to do so.
i also heard bd4's do some good work on 4age (as i said i heard i dunno)

as much as this would be fun for about 30 seconds, i want somehting a little more reliable
come on guys anoone out there spent money on a natually aspirated 4age or have you all done the smart thing and just bought a gze

Mate I think there is about 2 other threads regarding boosting na engines! The out come was just go buy the ZE! You will save lots of money doing this!

i dont know if you are refering to 'boosting' as turboing or 'boosting' as making more powerful (n/a or not).
basically by your responce you are saying the only way to obtain more power fomr the 4age is to fuck it off and put in a gze???
i am sure alot of people would disagree, i did also ask about cams and 20Vhead....... obviously that was looked over........

Well cams, headwork, head swaps, etc. etc. are all quite doable and possible, but for the most part also tend to shift the powerband upwards, eating into what little lower down grunt a 100kw 4ag has. Try and get onto bill sherwood or someone like that, rack his grey matter for ideas. Or try a nitrous kit
