Noisy 7mge head

Hello
My 7mge motor makes load tapping sounds above 3000rpm when hot. Much less noise when cold and at low rpm. it gets much louder as you rev it up.
Any thoughts?

Possibly the valve shimms need re-adjusting/re-shimming?? anyone??

Could be lack of oil too.
When the oil is changed does it change color after a short run, say 200-300 kms could be an oil block somewhere and the oil is cooking.

I'd say you would need to check your valve clearence's, also how do you know for sure it coming from the head? Could be a collapsed piston... Check your valve 1st tho if there loose replace the shims to suit the clearence's. Let us know how you go...

The car doesn't use any oil and it stays clean for months before discolouring after a change.
