Does anyone know of an automatic gearbox with overdrive that will bolt to the 4A engine in RWD format.
I know of the AE71 but it is only 3 speed.
Did the AE86 come out in auto?
Bet these are rare as rocking horse s**t.

I dont believe there is something available that will bolt straight up? I may-be wrong thou.
Maybe if your that keen on being a lazy shifter (as i call auto drivers) you could adapt a celica box. Wouldnt be easy thou.

Have fun wiring up an Auto into a car it wasn't designed for
Unless you get one that doesnt require any wiring

Yes, they are available, and yes rare as rocking horse shit. I can get a model number for you off a friend's car if you get desperate, but you'll need to start looking at import AE85's for one (never seen one in an import AE86)!

Yes a model number would be a good start.
I know its going to be hard to find something but you never know what might be out there.

I know where there is a 3 speed AE71 auto but I assume this doesnt have an overdrive.
Really didnt think it would be so damn hard to find one.
