Sprinter Front Lip Action (on the cheap)

Strolling through my local self werve wreckers, as i do on a thursday. I spy a Corona MKII, mmm diff, ten ra60's, numerous corollas and of course many coronas. Hiding down the back of the Toyota section, 2 MX73's. Wonder if they have a front lip that's salvageble, they often get minced because people insist on tapping the kerb when they park. oooh, there's one left, a bit scruffy, but for a measly $13 how could i pass it up
Armed with my newly aquired MX73 front lip, a cordless drill, shiney socket set(cash converters has a great selection of laundered tools) and all the screws i nixed from the self serve, i proceded with the install. Quite simple remove bumper, attach lip via drilling new holes and using supplied screws You need to chop out about 12cms of the passenger side one as it will be too wide, you don't wanna make the join in the centre as the drivers side has a extension which helps it hold to the passenger side. Take time to straighten out bumper mounts too, mine were quite bent, checked on the spare car to see how they should look.
All put back together, bumper back on, wow no spare parts Time taken hour and a half.
I know i've forgotten something. oh 3:30, time to pick up the sister. Halfway through the intersection, i can hear something, somewhat muffled by tyre squeal and QTB roar.
Damn i left the blinker wires off, speed blinkers for now.
on off on off on off double time.

It only looks lower because I parked a little further forwards, in the ditch.

Nice cressi, my aunty had a white one, i was gonna get the lip off that, but they never told me they got rid of it. It used to be owned by a spray painter, so it had a pinky pearl through it. It was in mint condition till my cousins learned to drive in it.
