Take them out and get them ground, much cheaper than buying new billet ones...

Wont cost more than $200-$250 each if you're getting them ground, I wouldnt expext less than $500 each for new ones and ultimately they arent suited to your engine (bought cams are made for a wide variety of engines not just yours, whereas your cam grinder will ask you all sorts of questions on your engine, and more importantly what it is you want from your engine).

Have you considered having your existing cams reprofiled.
I had mine done to stage two which enabled me to comfortable Rev to 8000 rpm. Gas flowing the head is also a cheap and a great way to increase performance. Remember that whatever you do you will need to rejet your carbies and clock the timing chain.
Some experts say forget all this crap just put turbo on.

Yep, turbo will get you the same power for less money and without making your car a bitch to drive on the street. I know what I'd be doing!

i would suggest you try to locate a 18RGU EFI manifold and start from there, including shifting fuel AND spark control to a computer...

On their own, moded cams may introduce more problems that those solved. once you've factored in carbi mods, head work, idle problems, it's starts to approach EFI territory.

but if you're dead keen on rebuilt cams, this is the local brisbane mob well known for re-working cams:

a bit far from perth, but a handy online resource.

better to get your cams hard faced welded up as just a grind will reduce base circle also need lift and dont go over 300 in duration or 260 at 50 as it will make it undriveable down low ,also dont get billets unless they are cast as steel 1s and you will have to buckets chromed and thats about 60 each from memory
