I'm after 1 litre of paint and 4 litres of thinners to do a quick spray job on my car. it's just to make the 3 silver panels the same colour as the rest of the car, and it'll just be a light spray job, made to last a month or 2.
can anyone recommend a place to get some nice cheap paint from? (acrylic, standard toyota colour code)
cheers

seriously save the bling and put it into better quality paint than you planned to use for the final job or somethigncustom like flaking ![Smile](images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif)

all I want is less attention from the police - driving an illegal car and such.
and multi-coloured panels is a good way to draw unwanted attention.
depends, of course, on how much time I can end up sparing - metal for the brain takes out next weekend

Draven, check out the front pages of the motoring section of the Trading post. There is a mob that sells paint called Concept, good enough price for reasonable paint. I am not sure of the details, as it has been a coupla years since I sourced paint through them. Hope this helps, and yeah I understand the *unwanted attention* part of running around with different coloured panels.
regards Chuck.

Anyone used the Motospray paint from Auto One? I'm about to try it and interested on opinions on how it rates as a paint.

Yeah - its pretty cheap, and you can get most common factory colours. I chose a non-metallic royal blue so it won't require a clear coat making is pretty cheap to do a whole car - pr. around $250 with thinners + primer + paint. I'll be applying the paint hopefully in January and I'm a complete novice so I'll see how it goes.
