Hey
I am so happy. I got my first car. Its a white 1986 5 speed manual 7mge powered Toyota Supra with racing hart 17 inch rims and low profile rubber. It has aftermarket suspension and full exhaust including extractors. I am so happy. I just can't wait to get off my learners and get my P's. I have wanted this car for so long.
I will try to post pics soon.

yes, you need to know that this car is capable of getting you into a bit of strife, espcially still being a learner.
you need to pay it some R E S T E C P. do you even know what that spells?

True that, should always take care, especially when you are learning in a relatively big RWD car. How many Commonwhores are there around where their P plate driver puts them into something? Just take it easy and enjoy your car
I'm with them though, put it into a pole and I'm going to get one of them to punch you =

LOL I give him 2 months on his P's to write off his car
But seriously...not bad for a first car...both of mine have been shit(funny that i've had two cars and only just got my P's
Oh and as a sidenote i dont think you're the happiest kid alive, last year a guy in year 11 at my highschool(used to be called Camp Hill high....now whiteshill college...near Carindale Shopping Centre) got a brand new celica from his dad, did some work to it....ended up paying $60k for it all....i do believe he was the happiest kid alive(untill some wanker decided to play dodgem cars and almost cut his car in half ) Either that or my friend(ahh Grammer girls you should know about them turbokid ) anyways her brother got a brand new M3 when he got his P's....damn rich kids

a guy at my college got some gay Falcon as a run-around and a 300ZX imported with a system, bodykit, the works, from his parents before he got his P's. I have already owned 7 cars and i'm only 17, but most of these have been less than 3G's, so they don't really count!

do an advanced driven course before you get your P's even, no matter how sexy the car is when the firebrigade have to hose you out of the car you wont be smiling!
be around long enough to get off your P's and get a turbo on the sucker!

Yeah we do an advanced saftey course through school plus my mum will probably make me do it twice. I am really happy with the car, better than all my mates VL's. I drove it to school today for the first time. Pulls the chicks or maybe thats me .
Nah i wont write it off. Maybe if i get a 1jz or a 2jz. Just cant wait till i get off my learners. Another 4 months to go.

I have to disagree with lumpy on it being cooler than a magna....
Sorry, but sometimes the truth hurts....
Thanks Tripharn

Don't want to get too far off topic...but
Not cooler than a magna
I've driven a late model magna and to be honest, I thought it was crap. Vague steering, no grunt (auto), dubious interior quality and seats that sit so high you feel like you are driving around in a bus. . I guess there are many arguments re the latest ralliart magnas, peoples deep love for their car, personal choices in styling etc But I just don't understand them! surely you are joking!
Anyway, I guess it's horses for courses - I've always felt the Citreon DS21 has a certain....something!

Must admit a standard magna sucks!
But mine is lowered all round, which really fixes the crap handling.
It is also a manual, so I don't have to put up with the 4 speed crap autos (used to be an auto so I know!)
But....for a 4 cyl that will soon be 2.8L and have a turbo whacked on top it will be one fast grandma car! Some idiot in Melbourne has one pulling almost 900hp out of the standard 2.6! How many corollas can do that?
Tripharn
PS. It also comes standard with power steering, A/C etc....and the acoustics for a car stereo are pretty good.

Fair enough! I'd love see an old school magna kick arse... it would be an underrated sleeper with big turbo+overbore - torque steering like a bitch down the street! How long will the engine last thou? I suppose if it was built properly it would be OK.
I must admidt I am a bit biased agaist Magnas etc because I own -but not for long- a 2Lt Sigma Wagon! in Chysler badging, 168,000 Km's, dead straight and used to be my Grandpa's. I would be insane to drop a turbo motor in that...

Nothing wrong with Sigmas... I used to have 2 of the damn things! (I got them both for $100, what a bargain!)
Hopefully if I get enough work of christmas (I am a uni student) I will have about another 5k to spend on the engine, that should take it close to 135kw.... ($2500 on the computer) and then I'll put a turbo on it. I won't be happy until I beat my mates Subaru Leone which has about 220kw at the wheels!
Good thing is a 2nd hand gearbox is only $200 with 6 month warranty! I think I'll be going through a few of those

Hey,
Nice score now let me drive it. And the only reason it was pulling chicks was because i parked behind it lol only joking. This car is pretty lush. With blisteins all round (personal joke). Anyways enough about you ive been on my P's for 6 months and im on my third car and desperately trying to find a 4th. Anybody want to swap me for my Maxima Turbo. Preferably manual commonwhore or manual falcon (prefer EA/EB/ED).
Matt
