You mean a thermo fan and wiper motor running off the same circuit? If so you might get away with a 30amp.

A 20amp might be fine for the thermo depending on the type of fan it is

don't skimp on the thermo fan switch - they pull a lot of current - so get a heavy duty fuse holder.

it is a 14" davies Craig one. So do you think a 40amp fuse for that one and a 20 amp for the wipers?

Your fan should have the current requirements printed somewhere. If it draws 20A, use a 25A fuse for a bit of headroom.

Its also worth mentioning that your average fuse blows at an average of 1.8 times the rated current. Therefore a 25amp fuse will blow at around 45 amps.
I believe circuit breakers are a lot more accurate....

email davies craig and ask them what size fuse they recommend for that fan... fans also pull more current when they are starting up...
Cya, Stewart
if in doubt, ask the manufacturer

for some reason when they were wiring up my car they put the DC thermos on the same fuse as the ECU. 20Amps, it started blowing constantly so i have it wired directly to the battery. for the fans i wouldnt recommend anything less than 25A
