Aftermarket control for 4AGZE SC clutch??

Just setting up the control for the supercharger clutch on my 4AGZE and was hoping for some smoothness in the power delivery. Currently it switches on at 50% throttle which can cause some problems.
What have other people done?
Also, does doing the well known ABV mod cause any change in the power delivery with a factory ECU??
Thanks

all i did was bypass the s/c relay, and ran it through a toggle switch...worked fine for me..
has been going for around 3 years now...unfortunately not in my possession anymore...

ABV Mod is only meant to be of benefit if you are running an oversized crank pully... could have adverse affect doing the ABV bypass with an OEM crank pulley... (but not sure).
I know of guys just hardwiring the clutch it so it is on the whole time... Just run a positive to a source that is on when your key is the ACC position and fused and the other one to earth. wammo solid SC clutch!!! I read somewhere that a main reason the clutch is there is to only let the pulley freespin when cranking the engine to start, cause of extra pressure it places on the starter motor...??? You'll find the SC clutch is pretty well on all the time during normal driving anyway so not a big deal.

Actually the SC is off most of the time (ie light load conditions), and the reason for this is to prolong the life of the supercharger and improve fuel economy (ie eliminate unnecessary drag). I don't think it has much to do with starting.

Do you know at what point the ECU actually activates the clutch..? Does it not engage when man. pressure falls below -8 and stay on again up to +8 or +10psi... and considering that idle is around -15 I would think that the SC clutch is energised at idle and stays that way till man pressure reaches +8-10... Though I am not sure... but would really like to know exactly how these things work... Anyone know for sure?

I'm not sure either but I think it's related to throttle position?
