Hi guys,
im looking at moving on and just wanting to get some ideas on
what i should ask/expect for my car...... Details are as follows
* 1986 Black Targa Roof MA70
* 1989 7MGTE (Recoed 12 mths ago by a w/shop called Bathurst & Borg... Machined & Serviced head, o ringed, arp head stud kit, genuine toyota head gasket, Rebuilt & Hiflowed turbo by GCG)
* R154 5 Speed Manual (H/D clutch installed by Bathurst & Borg 12 mths ago.
* NA Diff (4.4 ratio i think?)
* Intercooled
* Bosch Motorsport EFI Hi pressure fuel pump
* Fuel cut defender
* Slotted front brake rotors
* 16 inch RG alloy wheels, space saver spare,
* HD 1 1/2inch lowered suspension
* TEMS
* 3 Inch Exhaust
* Towbar
* 1989 MA71 Front bar & grille, rear tail lights, rear garnish, & boot spoiler (ie looks like a 1989 MA71)
* Sony xplode CD player, 4 channel amp, alpine & jbl speakers
* Autotechnica sports steering wheel (original availabe {cruse cont controls}
* Power Steering
* Air Conditioning
* Power Windows
* 178000kms on odometer
* 22/6/03 Rego
Thats all i can remember its got at the moment.......
If anyone can give me an idea on their thoughts it would be greatly appreciated.

About 8,500 would be an approximate price without knowing more.

shit is that all..... All work performed by bathurst & borg came to that amount....
If thats all the market thinks its worth, may need to keep it a while longer then......
Any other thoughts?

is it manual? u would get more than 8500. 10k shouldnt b to hard.

between 10 and 15
depending on the buyer\condition
manual targa's are rare...even though yours isnt like that from the factory.
it really does depend on the condition of the vehicle

Condition is pretty damn good (no dents, scratches - recent respray a couple of years ago). It is manual, and has a few mods.... Thought it would be somewhere in the last bracket.

I disagree..
You will struggle to get over 10k unless you are very lucky.
What would you buy a early model conversion or an import that was made that way from the factory?
'89 Turbo Manuals imports are around 10k.. Turbo A's are more like 10-15 depending on the condition.
Turbo R's (1JZ) are usually 15 or more.

not to offend but i think $10-$11 is close to what you could expect but again it depends on its conditions from bar to bar.

I would say 10-15k. People are willing to pay extra for a manual targe because they are so rare. I know I would.

ive struggled to find any turbo manual ma70s for less than about 9500, so i reckon 10 oir 11k on it dude, good luck with the sale, if you sell it...

It was a 7MGE 5 Speed from factory.
Had the 7MGTE & R154 installed after the death of a factory Turbo MA71......

I agree with black supra, a converted 7mgte aren't worth as much as a factory turbo setup.

I am buying a 1989 MA70 Aero Top/Wide body for 13000 with a 1jz in it if that is any indication to go by. It has a large HKS front mount, APEXi computer with R154 and a twin plate blitz clutch. Just been painted too.
