put ur hand on ur cam covers after driving, they dont get hot at all very much
regular enamel will be fine

Yeah, regular engine enamel will do it.
I wouldn't use anything less though, even with the enamel it melted onto the 18rg sparkplug clip the first time it was brought up to temperature. It just didn't like the permenant tensioned contact, but otherwise it should be fine.

House paint is good it works well , or use that high heat paint it comes in cans its like $8 a can...

My 1JZ gets so hot you can't touch it at all after driving. I'd use some sort of heat proof paint.

yeah ive seen cam covers with the paint bubbled, but thats next to a high-mount. i spose it depends on the engine but id go for the good stuff. do it properly and do it only once

I usually get some mixed up costs $10 for a litre of single pack high solids quick dry enamel just spray on and watch the gloss come up.

I've used high temp engine paint on cam covers for a Ford V8, and am less than impressed with their appearance less than twelve months on. The covers were prepped adequately, but the paint has still flaked off, resulting in my decision to have them either powdercoated or sprayed with two pack paint next time.

I used VHT brake caliper paint on these 20V cam covers and exhaust shield, this pic is a year after they were painted...
