okay so i made the mistake of running out of petrol in my new supra. a toyota nut thats mates with my friends says get some injector cleaner or else...bye bye injectors etc. its still running fine and dandy, but i thought it would be best to take precautions, as i dont have the money to drop a new 1jz/2jz in just yet....
any recommendations/advice/etc? i may as well note that i run optimax in it...
thanks y'all...

I wouldn't be too concerned; that's what your fuel filter is for. Tell your Toyota nut friend to learn about fuel systems.

Yep, agreed, but if you still want to do it (can be advantageous sometimes), use a can of "Holden Top End Cleaner" in fifty litres of fuel - cheap and effective!

Or do what I did Evil and get the Injectors sent away to a professional where they can clean it and rate the condition of them. I got mine cleaned and rated, now the 5M-E drinks like a fish but goes ok...
Cheers.
