I have an 87 Toyota Supra Turbo. Gradually I have developed boost surges all through the RPM range. Any ideas of what to check for initially. I can't find any immediate vaccuum leaks. I have a manual boost controller and it has never gave me problems and my turbo and engine were rebuilt 20,000 miles ago.

check that all the pipes and fittings are tight first.

what sort of boost controller is it? if it is a bleed valve type then that is a common thing.
