2T block Wed, 17 December 2003 05:31 Go to next message
Hey All,

I was wondering if I can strip my old 2T down to the block and then get new rings and bearings in the block ready for when my 2TG needs rebuilding. Are all the blocks the same? or are there different revisions similar to the 2TG heads?

Then only visible difference is where the fuel pump fits on the 2T. My 2TG has a cover plate there and I have an electric fuel pump.

Cheers,
Jeremy.

depends
do you have a 2TG now already i think from your post you do?

the 2T differs from the 2TG in that the drive for the oil pump uses a dummy cam or something similar. also the timing case ect up front is substantially different too, also seem to remember something about the bearings for the dummy cam being different to the stock cam.

there are several 2TG experts on here (rod try for example) who wil be able to set you straight.
