Interesting suspension setup - are those anti-tramp bars? If so does that mess up the leaf springs? I was always under the impression that axle tramp bars didn't work very well with leaf springs...

That looks awesome tho Smile

Yes they will creat all sorts of binding up in the rear end. I speak fron experiance of trying all sorts of track rods on the rally car over 10 years.

It handles like a go cart, so the adjustable bars must work.

oh and he owner of the black MA70 will happily run any of the other MA70's that want to have a go.

Dont judge a car by it badges !! A certain pulsar owner should know this already!

i would be guessing that the rods are to stop the diff nose climbing under the large amounts of torque they are planning on... that is of course if they get it to the ground Very Happy

those poor old leaves are gonna get a hammering!!

Yes I beleive it is all about controlling the diff pinion angle and transferring the lift produced further forward in the chassis.

Re: Check out this FRANKENSTEIN !!! Sun, 21 December 2003 21:21 Go to previous messageGo to next message
The rods will definatly control the pinion angle but they will prevent the rear springs from working. This is why it will feel like a go kart. (no Suspension). The spring / suspension must allow the diff to travel in an ark.Trackrods on leaf springs force the diff to travel on a different ark and bind up the rear susp . Try jacking up one rear wheel with the track rods on then off. Suspension travel is greatly cut down with the rods on.

Looks hot! Very Happy

Any issues with fitting? Engine looks to be on a bit of an angle.. Is that to clear the firewall?

The Firewall has been cut and recessed nearly 6 inches, and a new trans tunnel has been fabricated to fit the r154 5 speed.

This transplant is not for the feint hearted.
