oh damn, now i've gone and edited my post out of existence
anyways, something like:
GRLTOY: it's about the ppl, and those ppl just happen to choose civics. i personally think the reason is that they are one of the few half-decent stock cars to begin with.
heh heh, and i'm sure my car sucks a lot more than your car.. heck mine doesn't even go as of a few days ago
as maddox trys to say, it's abotu the ppl odding the cars, and especially the ones that pull up next to you at the lights thinking they are hot shit cos of the 'modifications' they have done to their car.
CrUZsida: wow you spent a whole 5 minutes!!. heh heh, i love reading hate mail. even if the site is pathetic (i certainly don't agree with the views of Mr Maddox) it is rather amusing to read the even more pathetic hate-mail that they generate.
i am particularly amused when the would-be hate-mailers leave their sig attached, telling everyone who they are, where they live, how many pets they have and the colour of their underpants etc
i did find the PETA article slightly amusing (never having thought about the number of animals killed during grain harvesting)
sigh, anyways... just read the hatemail.. ignore the articles

So what about news columnists? Or authors who write great pieces of literature CrUZsida? Are they idiots?
I like the Internet. It means people can get their message out even if they are not backed by massive corporations that seek to maintain the status quo.
And like he said, he isn’t forcing you to read his website.

You're putting words into my mouth Shraka, just because I said something, doesn't mean I meant the contra-positive
Just because I said that there are idiots who sit behind a keyboard writing stuff like this, doesnt mean that everybody who writes stuff is an idiot.
You have to remember that 90% of the time, when people write things on the net, its because they are pissed off or they have nothing better to do (yes there are exceptions).
People who write for papers are usually doing it for a living, and therefore require their work to be of high quality or it wont get printed, and therefore they wont get paid. This way it ensures that they put a lot of effort into what they write when the talk on a personnal level (once again, yes there are exceptions).
And I also have no respect for people who have opinions like this
Dickhead about Civics | Way to go dipshit, you spent your life savings on something you can't use. Worthless.
|
Spending money on cars is just a hobby, as is everything else that we amuse ourselves with. If its not cars, then its model trains, or model cars, or stamps, or coins, or butterflies/birds etc etc etc
They all cost money, and 90% of the time, somebody else will think its worthless.

Yeah probably, but atleast he wasn't censored, like newspaper writers are. Like I said, I like Internet articles 'cuz they are more raw, less refined, more artistic, more honest and less "popular".
I think a lot of Newspaper writers write stuff 'cuz they are angry, but they tend to cover it up with 'cleverness'. A lot of good articles don't make it into the paper due to politics too. And many articles are edited as not to piss someone off. But perhaps those people deserv some pissing off?
I agree that this guy doesn't understand the car modification scene, and that post was a bit one sided (but then again, everyting is). But I liked his letter from the PETA.
