1uz, price? Thu, 18 December 2003 05:50 Go to next message
How much is the going price for a 1uz.
No gearbox or ECU.
im looking to buy one, but all i can seem to find are prices for half cuts, or engine/ECU/gearbox packages.
Could anyone give me a rough guide of what would be a rip-off, and what ewould be a bargain?
Smile

What state are you in mate?

There should be plenty of them sitting around in Uranus. Mr hankey owns a business there, and he told me he has had alot of problems trying to move them from Uranus.

i got offered a 1uz twin turbo and strong internals
and autronic ecu

for around 5000
i knocked it back cause my days of havin turbo cars are over

but it seemed very cheap compared if u were to do it yrself

sss automotive might have just the engine
no ecu or harness
i saw one there the other day when i was chasing some info on the 1uz

Going rate seems to be around $900 for the engine only.

If what V8 supra said is correct, would you mind lowering the price by 500. Very Happy

well, FWIW, I paid 850 for Engine, Gbox, and cut loom (no ecu)
Fan was broken, Aircon missing, Thermostat hosuing broken, but everything else seemed to be there

EDIT: But I think I got a very good deal, most other places in Perth wanted 2000-2500

Backspace: Sorry mate cant help you then. If you are running the standard computer make sure you get everything with it like AFM or what seems like a cheap engine could end up costing you.

CrUZsida: Thats a wicked price!!! When i was looking i couldnt find a descent one for under $2500, ended swapping to a 1JZ instead.
