Those who can answer my questions here will be of great help.
Car: MA70 N/A 7mge Supra (mark 3)
The standard Ma70 Big end bearing is rooted. This is a freinds car. I dont want to put another 7mge into it.. as they are well known for their issues.
Option 1: 1jzgte - Good option.. But i dont believe the Bellhousing will bolt up. so.. From what i know (correct me if im wrong) Itll need a Jz Bellhousing? Loom, Computer (factory) and a new exhaust and an intercooler with all the plumbing, crossmember.
Option 2: 2jzge - I like this option as they are cheap, But would still need a bellhousing? ECU, Loom, Exhaust, and crossmember.
Option 3: 7mgte - Intercooler, ECU, Loom. Problem is.. Its a 7m... How long before HG goes Pop. But Conversion is easy.
I need all info that can be given regarding all of these swaps? Like your opinion on the best (cheapest, has to be reasonable) way to go.
Let me know, rattle off any ideas.. any crazy ideas.. I dont care.. Anything.!!

From a cost point of view I would personally go the 7MGTE and don't listen to much to this head gasket thing...I stressed for ages and havn't had a problem, if you are worried about it tighten it up, I think its another 15lbs?
The wiring loom of the ge should be close, different ignition on the gte though so there may be some discrepencies there, but much easier, bolt holes in all the right places and all that sort of stuff.
Alternatively, talk him into a 2jzgte and never have to worry about wanting more power, sure initial cost is high but theres not a lot more to stress about down the track....apart from ever increasing tyre bills I suppose...

Is the MA70 an auto, or a manual? If it's Auto, and you want to keep it that way, just upgrade the gearbox with the half cut, and sell off the existing gearbox. Half cut's the way to go for engine conversions anyway as you get all the intercooler/computer.
