My parents are interested in importing a stock 89 model Toyota Selsior. Are these exactly the same the the Lexus ls400 or are there small differences. I was thinking that parts wouldn't be all that hard to find if there was little differences. These cars go for about $9000 to $10000. I think that is pretty good for what you get.

They should get a VIP style one . I assume they don't want it soon cause they will have to wait for the 15 year rule, does anyone know what the first build month is for Celsiors?

They are exactly the same as an LS400, but better specced. As others have intimated, DOTARS have reverted to using the original interpretation of the legislation (ie. Month/year of build). What that means is that, for most people, they will have to wait until November '04 to import these...
PM me if you want further details...

I am afraid they will not be able to wait that long so they will have to get something else to replace the trusty old SV21 camry.
Any suggestions for something reliable, decent fuel economy and can seat 4?
