alrighty
ashling's calipers are fouling the new wheel (despite the fact they cleared the old one, and this one is the same...) soooo.... we're looking to trim about 1-2mm off the outer edge of the caliper, where it's fouling. now, I'm assuming this wont have any real effect on the calipers as such (correct me if I'm wrong) - and I'm just wondering what the right tool for the job is.

My favorite tool... Angle Grinder Evil or Very Mad
Why are the rims different?
is the difference visible to the eye?

no, the rims are identical specs. checked on the inside of the rim and everything.

mind you, there was only around 1mm of clearance on the old one *shrugs*

yeah, I was leaning toward and angle grinder, then file, then sandpapre if he wants it looking pretty

quick update, after realising just how much of the caliper we'd need to take off, we checked again and found that Tempe Tyres had supplied us with a wheel with a different offset!

The old one was 35, the new one 40 Sad

They won't get one with 35 for me, so I guess i'll have to get my money back Razz

Draven said to call Neils Wheels to see if they could get one in, but I can't find the number Razz Anyone? Anywhere else I could call?

I suppose the alternative would be to have 5mm welded onto the inside of the rim, but i'd prefer to just get the right one.
