gear ratios and speed	Sat, 20 December 2003 04:31

hey i have a ta22 and i want to get a shorter gear ratio (smaller top speed) at the moment i get 100k hour in second and 140 in third, just wondering if there is any different diff ratios for a ta22 i have heard there is a 3.9 and a 4.1 how do i tell which one i have and which one will have the better acceleration, 4.1 isnt . thanks alot. jason [Report message to a moderator]

if you wont a smaller top speed use 4.3 for a higher top speed 3.7 i doubt your car would get to 7000 in 5th even with a 4.3 ratio [Report message to a moderator]
