My gz10 *slammed* on ma61 king spring lows Sat, 20 December 2003 07:36 Go to next message
my gz10 soarer uses same suspension as ma61 from factory.. so since norbie showed how it affects a ma61 i thought i might show this.
Handles great now.. just need to fix the scrubbing.
still alot of sun around when i took them so they arent really good pics

Is that damage on the front there?

New ride height looks cool. I would paint the black skirts white, or get some bodykit sideskirts, but then again I'm a ricer. Very Happy

Oh, and when you take the picture, take it on a solid surface. It's hard to tell height on a soft surface.

rears rolled like normal... fronts used to go like this
/
|_/ the tallest bit being the outside
and a plastic shroud bolted onto thje very bottom.. they creased it in and flared the straight down part of the guard bit made the plastic bit bolt onto the inside of the top and changed about 1.5cm clearance into about 2 inches Smile
im really happy with it.. no scrubbing as of yet and i was pushing it around corners really hard

lol... they seem to think my car lowered on king spring lows and having 17's with good tyres and getting guards rolled is rice...
all my suspension was done with performance in mind(bar the pedders shocks.. but i am getting kyb's asap) and they wouldnt shut the hell up Smile
some of them are alright though and gt motors did a good job as everyone said they would..
i can take right handers fast now(as it was only scraping on right beforehand

Certainly does look awesome...

We'll see how it handles with the right shocks tho, coz I don't think it comes close to mine just yet, you've got a lower centre of gravity, are lighter and have pretty decent tyres, so we'll see how it goes with the right shocks...

Again, looks awesum...

And yes, it needs a 1J!

lol.. yeah.. its sorta hard to tell how it handles compared to yours though aswell.. cause i dont have half the power you do to come out of corners lol.. we need to chuck my tyres and rims on ur car... if only they were right stud pattern

your a alot better driver aswell than me anyway.. i barely even trust myself taking those corners like i did when u were in the car.. cause this is the 1st car ive ever driven with any sort of handling... even if it has no power.. so still gettin used to it

you should have a drive(if u can put up with no power) and see how it handles

Your wheels on my car would look great!! If they fit, I'd slam it for a photo shoot! And then wind the coilover back up before I get stuck in the KFC car park again.......

I'd love to have a drive of your car... it feels a lot stiffer in the ride to my car, tyres have a lot to do with handling, I think yours are better than mine... And yeah, mine probably feels like it handles better because I can power out of the corner a little better...

Still can't wait until it's run in and I can start giving it full throttle.

haha true.. your such a bastard.. running 4 pound of boost and on 1/10th of throttle your still pulling away from me on full... i cant wait till my kyb shocks come.. hopefully it handles better again Smile

Better than just having a GZ10, MZ21, and a JZZ30... But they were all really schmick examples of them. Well, I know yours is and the 30 was, I hope mine is.

Your wheels on my car would look great!!

If you give me a photo of the wheels and a photo of your car (from the same angle) I could show you what they would look like. Very Happy

Anyway, yeah I think the new height looks awesome. Although you need to do something about the shocks. Very Happy Are you sure that just putting in better shocks wouldn't have fixed your scraping problem?

yes, im sure.. i had 1.5cm clearance between wheel and guard.. so any hard corner if the car leans at all it scraped
well not any more
ViNcEnXo, yours is the absolute best mz21 ive ever seen.. just needs some nice 17's or 18's and it would be completely pimping hehe
the 30 was bloody nice too
have to get a pic of it one day or something.. i wouldnt mind it
My KYB shocks are coming in january so until then i have to put up with the pedders. but to be honest.. they arent doing a terrible job
