Hi Everyone,
I have got my hands on a GTTI CB70 water cooled turbo charade about a month ago. All was sweet until a couple of days ago I was driving through a car park when it shut down on me and would not start again.
I earthed the coil lead to see if there was any spark and there was none. I changed the coil but still no spark. I changed the ignition module and still no go. I kicked it but that wasnt the problem either. What could be the problem????
I have checked both positive and negitive connections on the coil and power seems to be at both.
I have posted it on the gtti forum but they werent much help.
It kicks over but will not start. Any ideas
Thanks
Anhar

do it methodically. try to start car. check for spark (pull lead off). if no spark, check voltages. if voltage is there, change coil, if no go, change igniter (sounds like you are up to here)
checked the dizzy pickup? checked connections between igniter and dizzy? not earthing anywhere?
ummm, swap out each piece, starting at the dizzy i guess...
ignition problems suck good luck.
maybe pull dizzy and try the dizzy, igniter, coil off the car??
