Sprinter questions Tue, 30 July 2002 12:15 Go to next message
Heys guys and gals - nneed a few questions answered in relation to ae86 sprinters

I needa dog hauler - and a cheap reliable second car - that still has some go to it - so im thinking a sprinter might be good

What i need to know is are the rear seats reclinable - ie lay flat like in a hatchback - and how much space can it accomidate .. Ill need something big enough to haukl around a Saint bernard - so space is of the wanting ..

Also what prices are we looking at for a decent one with a 4age or 4agze conversion done to it ? I hear these are much nicer powerplants than what they come out with so its a step in the right direction

Lastly - parts wise - is there any things there limiting getting spares for one ??

I don't think any of the sprinter owners are going to advise using a sprinter to cart around a st bernard. Smile

Have you seen the early 2 door corolla wagons. I was just talking about them with irally tonight, but now I can't remember the model code. Embarassed Razz
These have heaps more room than a sprinter, which I reckon would be a bit squashed with a st bernard, and would have all the same engine options.

hehehe... sprinter a load hauler Very Happy

i'm sure the sprinter owners are offended

anyway, the sprinters are not that big even though the rear seats are reclinable

i had a KE rolla wagon before... even that is somewhat lacking in space

for the same money as a good sprinter, you could prolly get you hands on a corona wagon (83-86)...

i think they are a pretty good size and pretty robust

heh - the idea is to have the dog in the car for me to utilise the airconditioning ...

being a snow type dog they need to be cool or else they ultra slobber ..

Anyway - ill keep my eye out for something different ..
